Our Business Head receives honorary title of ‘‘National Pride’’!

The National Pride and Patriotic Cultural Foundation and Dewsada National Newspaper organized the honorary awards and national awards ceremony to recognize experts in various fields who have rendered outstanding service to the country on September 5, 2025 at the Bandaranaike International Conference Hall in Colombo. In addition to the honorary awards, a number of talented individuals who have rendered valuable service to the country in various fields were also presented with the honorary title of “National Pride”. Revo Advertising’s Business Head Pathum Weeramanthri was also awarded the honorary title of “Management Hero, National Pride” in recognition of his social service and entrepreneurial abilities.

“Currently, there has been a wave of awarding honorary titles to various people for money. Therefore, even if an honorary title is received in some cases, its acceptance has become controversial. I did not pay any money to receive this award. They informed me that they had selected me for this and informed me to fill out the relevant application form and attest to it. After submitting the relevant documents and copies, I was invited to the ceremony. The organizing committee is organizing this with formal value and has national approval, so I came forward to receive that honorary title. If the value here is simply stated, not everyone gets legal permission to use the word “national” as they wish. To be precise, if the word “national” is used for a name, parliamentary approval is required. (According to the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, No. 19 of 1963 Act) Therefore, this should be established within a formal legal framework with state permission and the organizers should operate. Also, it is a national program with valid value and carried out within a formal and legal framework with the full approval of several secretaries of the Malwatta chapter of the Shamopalik Vamsika Sangha Sabha. I am grateful to the organizing committee of the program for providing such an appreciation. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my beloved parents, teachers, all the friends who supported me, and all the staff who supported me in this humble and joyful achievement!” said Pathum Weeramanthri.

ව්‍යාපාර ප්‍රධානී  ‘’ජාතික අභිමානී’’ ගෞරව නාමයෙන් පිදුම් ලබයි!

ජාතික අභිමානී දේශහිතේශි සංස්කෘතික පදනම සහ දෙව්සද ජාතික පුවත්පත විසින් රටදැයට ‍විශිෂ්ට මෙහෙයක් ඉටු කළ විවිධ ක්ෂේත්‍රවල ප්‍රවීණයන් ඇගැයීම පිණිස සිදු කරන ගෞරව සම්මාන හා ජාතික සම්මාන ප්‍රදානය කිරිමේ උත්සවය 2025 සැප්තැම්බර් 5වැනිදා කොළඹ බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලා පරිශ්‍රෙය්දි පැවැත් විණි. විවිධ ක්ෂේත්‍රවලින් රටට අගනා මෙහෙයක් සිදුකළ දක්ෂයින් රැසකට ගෞරව සම්මාන පිරිනැමීම සහ ඒ අතරින් තෝරා ගත් සුවිශේෂ කිහිපදෙනෙකුට පමණක් ගෞරව සම්මානවලට අමතරව ‘’ජාතික අභිමානී” ගෞරව නාමය පිරිනැමීමද සිදු විය. රෙවෝ ඇඩ්වර්ටයිසින් ආයතනයේ ව්‍යාපාර ප්‍රධානී පැතුම් වීරමන්ත්‍රී මහතාගේ සමාජ මෙහෙවර හා ව්‍යවසායකත්ව හැකියාවන් ඇගැයීමට ලක් කරමින්  “කළමණාකරණ ප්‍රතිහා දිරිය පුත්‍ර, ජාතික අභිමානී’’ ගෞරව නාමයෙන් පිදුම් ලැබිමද එහිදී සිදු කෙරිණි.

‘‘වර්තමානයේදී විවිධ අයට මුදල්වලට ගරු නම්බුනාම පිරිනැමිම රැල්ලකටත් ගිහින් තියෙනවා. ඒ නිසා ඇතැම් අවස්ථාවලදී ගෞරව නාමයක් ලැබුනත් එහි ඇති පිළිගැනීම විවාදාත්මක වෙලා තියෙනවා. මේ සම්මානය ලබාගන්න මම කිසිදු මුදල් ගෙවිමක් කරේ නැහැ. ඔවුන් මේ සදහා මාව තෝරාගත් බව දන්වා ඊට අදාල අයැදුම්පත පුරවා සාක්ෂි සනථ කරන ලෙස දැනුම් දුන් අතර අදාළ ලිය කියවිලි හා පිටපත් බාරදීමෙන් පසු උත්සවයට ආරාධනා ලැබුණි. මෙහි සංවිධායක මණ්ඩලය විධිමත් වටිනාකමක් සහිතවයි මෙය සංවිධානය කරන හා ඊට ජාතික අනුමැතියද සහිත නිසා එකී ගෞරව නාමය ලබා ගැනීමට මා ඉදිරිපත් වුණි. මෙහි ඇති වටිනාකම සරළව කියුවොත් හැමෝටම රිසි පරිදි “ජාතික“ කියන වචනය භාවිත කරන්න නීතිමය අවසරයක් ලැබෙන්නෙ නෑ. හරියට කියුවොත් ජාතික කියල යම් නාමයකට යොදාගන්නවා නම් පාර්ලිමේන්තු අනුමැතියක් අවශ්‍යයි. (Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, No. 19 of 1963 පනතට අනුව) ඒ නිසා මේක රාජ්‍ය අවසරය සහිත විධිමත් නිතිමය රාමුවක් තුළ පිහිටලා සංවිධායකයන් කටයුුතු කළ යුුතුයි. ඒ වගේම ශාමෝපාලික වංශික සංඝ සභාවේ මල්වතු පාර්ශවයේ ලේකඛාධිකාරී ස්වාමින් වහන්සේලාගේ රැසකගේ පුර්ණ අනුමැතිය සහිතව විධිමත් සහ නිතිමය රාමුව තුළ සිදු කරන වලංගු වටිනාකමක් සහිත ජාතික වැඩසටහනක්. මෙවැනි ඇගැයීමක් ලබාදිමට ගැන වැඩසටනේ සංවිධායක මණ්ඩලයට ස්තුති වන්ත වෙනවා. මා ලැබූ මේ ජයග්‍රහණයේ නිහතමානී සතුටේ කොටස්කරුවන් වූ ආදරණිය දෙමව්පියන්ට, ගුරුවරුන්ට, උපකාර කළ සියලු හිතමිතුරන්ට මෙන්ම කාර්යා මණ්ඩලයේ සහය දුන් සැමට හදපිරි ස්තූතිය පිරිනමමි!’’ පැතුම් වීරමන්ත්‍රී මහතා පැවසීය.
