සමරු මුදල් නෝට්ටුවක් 4 වෙනිදා සිට.... New currency note to mark 70th Independence celebration

ශ්රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව රුසියාවේ සංසරණ ව්යවහාර මුදල් නෝට්ටුවක් නිකුත් කර ඇත. 70 වන නිදහස් සමරු උළෙල පෙබරවාරි 4 වන දා මහ බැංකුව විසින් නිකුත් කළ සිව්වන අනුස්මරණ සටහන මෙයයි. මෙම අනුස්මරණ මුදල් නෝට්ටුවෙහි විශාලත්වය, ප්රධානතම වර්ණය සහ ආරක්ෂක ලක්ෂණ වර්තමාන සංසරණය 11 වැනි 1000 මුදල් නෝට්ටු මාලාවේ 1 ක් වුවද, පහත දැක්වෙන වෙනස්කම් දක්වයි:

සටහනේ ඉදිරිපස: (i) සමනළයා වෙනුවට නෝට්ටුවේ පහළ වම් කෙළවරේ විවිධත්වය ලිවීම. (ii) රම්බොඩ උමතුවේ ප්රතිරූපය වෙනුවට පන්සලක, පල්ලියක, කෝවිල් සහ පල්ලියේ රූප සටහන් කර ඇත. (iii) උපසර්ගය වන S70 වෙනුවට මාරු කිරීම S70 ලෙස දැක්වේ.

සටහනේ පිටුපස: වර්තමාන වර්ණ සංයුතියේ සමාන පින්තූර පවතින්නේ රු. 1000 නෝට්ටුවක්. මුදල් නෝට්ටු මිලියන පහක් නිකුත් කරනු ලබන අතර නෝට්ටු වල අනුක්රමික අංකය S70 / 1 000001 සිට S70 / 5 1000000 දක්වා වනු ඇත. සටහනේ දිනය පෙබරවාරි 4, 2018. මුදල් නෝට්ටුව ඕනෑම මුදලක් ගෙවීම සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකාවේ නීත්යානුකූල ටෙන්ඩරය වනු ඇති අතර ශ්රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව විසින් නිකුත් කරනු ලබන සංසරණයේ දී වගකීම වනු ඇත. මුදල් නෝට්ටුව නිල වශයෙන් මුදල් අමාත්යංශයේ ලේකම් මංගල සමරවීර මහතා විසින් ජනවාරි 30 දින මහ බැංකු අධිපති ආචාර්ය ඉන්ද්රජිත් කෝමමාසාමි විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී. බලපත්රලාභී වාණිජ බැංකු හරහා මුදල් හුවමාරු කිරීම සඳහා මුදල් නෝට්ටුවක් නිකුත් කෙරේ. ඒ සමඟම, ආකර්ෂණීය ෆෝල්ඩරයේ මුල් අනුක්රමික අංකය සහිත කෙටි නෝට්ටු ගණන රු. ආර්ථික විද්යා ඉතිහාස කෞතුකාගාරයේ අංක 1,300, කොළඹ 1, චැතම් වීදිය, අංක 54 දරන ස්ථානයේ සහ අනුරාධපුරය, මාතර, මාතලේ, ත්රිකුණාමලය සහ කිලිනොච්චි යන මහ බැංකු ශාඛා කාර්යාල වලින් එක් අයෙකු 1,300 බැගින් අයත්ය.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has issued a circulation standard commemorative currency note in the denomination of Rs. 1,000 to mark the 70th Independence celebration on 4 February. This is the fourth commemorative note that was issued by the Central Bank.

The size, predominant colour and the security features of this commemorative currency note are the same as the current circulating Rs. 1,000 note in the 11th currency note series, however it features the following changes:

On the front of the note:

(i) Celebrating diversity logo appears at the lower left corner of the note replacing the butterfly.

(ii) Images of a temple, mosque, kovil and church appear at the centre of the note replacing the image of the Ramboda Tunnel.

(iii)Prefix of the note appears as S70 replacing the prefix S.

On the back of the note: The same images remain as in the current circulating Rs. 1,000 note.

A quantity of five million currency notes will be issued and the serial numbers of the notes will be from S70/1 000001 to S70/5 1000000. The date on the note is 4 February 2018.

The currency note will be legal tender in Sri Lanka for the payment of any amount and will be a liability of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka whilst in circulation.

The currency note was officially presented to Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera by Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy on 30 January.

The commemorative currency note will be issued for circulation through licensed commercial banks, commencing from 6 February. At the same time, a limited number of notes with early serial numbers in an attractive folder will be sold at a price of Rs. 1,300 each at the Economic History Museum, at No. 54, Chatham Street, Colombo 1, and Central Bank regional offices at Anuradhapura, Matara, Matale, Trincomalee and Kilinochchi.
